Buy-in communities screen health at entry.Most CCRCs require residents to manage on their own at move-in. Edgewood (couples contract) and NewBridge (memory care is a rental open to anyone) are the two exceptions found so far. Ask everywhere else first.
Only CCRCs file the state disclosure.Massachusetts requires the annual disclosure from continuing care communities only. The 16 rentals don't file one, so ask them for ownership details and rent history instead.
Caregiver turnover isn't public anywhere.Medicare staffing data covers nursing homes only. For assisted living and memory care, turnover has to be asked on the tour.
